Studying at LAMDA satisfies Fordham Theatre’s requirements for Movement, Vocal Technique for Actors, Advanced Acting, and one semester of Theatre History for a
total of 16 credits. This template may be modified if the actor has a greater need to fulfill Fordham Theatre’s Text Analysis than Theatre History. There is so much movement and voice at LAMDA that it is possible to transfer some of those credits to Theatre History.
The LAMDA module in Acting satisfies any one of the following Advanced Acting courses. (4 credits)
THEA 4000 Creating a Character
THEA 4100 Acting Shakespeare
THEA 4305 Clown and Improvisation
The LAMDA module in Movement satisfies THEA 3050 Movement I (2 credits) and THEA 3060 Movement II (2 credits) for a total of 4 credits.
The LAMDA modules in Music and Voice satisfy THEA 3030 Vocal Technique I (2 credits) and THEA 3040 Vocal Technique II (2 credits) for a total of 4 credits.
The LAMDA module in Textual Study satisfies THEA 3001 Theatre History I, or any Theatre History, THEA 3002 or THEA 3003, as needed (4 credits).
There has been a shift in Fordham Theatre’s curriculum. THEA 3001, 3002, and 3003 are being retired at the end of Fall 2022. They will be replaced starting in
spring 2023 with THEA 3004, Global Theatre History: Foundational Impulses, and THEA 3005 Global Theatre History: Evolutions of the Present. For a period of two
years there may be overlap.
