What impact has your study abroad experience had on your life and studies?
Program Testimonials
I'm positive that I will live outside of the US following my completion of a college degree.  I was completely unaware of just how beneficial it is to live in another part of the world and to speak another language.  I seriously intend on improving my current language skills as well as studying several others.  Obviously not all at once, but I've realized how much I enjoy speaking another language.

What impact has your study abroad experience had on your life and studies?
Program Testimonials
Going abroad has opened my global perspective in ways I never thought possible. It has made me appreciate and respect the diversity of people and culture found across the world like never before. As an art history and history double major, going abroad also brought to life many of the issues I have been studying in my classes for years. It was amazing to see the sites in person, as opposed to simply in pictures. Going abroad has broadened my mindset and made me more excited about what I am studying.

Program Testimonials
I intend on finding a job where I can use Italian everyday at work so that my language skills continue to develop over the course of this upcoming academic year.

How will you keep your study abroad experience alive back in the US and Fordham?
Program Testimonials
I have already begun to try and integrate certain aspects of the culture and way of life that I experienced abroad into my own life back in the United States. I am cooking some of the same dishes, and using some of the same ingredients in the things I make and eat. I am make sure I don't forget the local language by listening to music and reading articles in the host country's language. I am also keeping in contact with the friends I made while abroad, who I know will be lifelong friends.

What suggestions or advice would you give to a prospective study abroad student?

It might seem like a lot of work to go abroad, and the process might seem a bit stressful, but believe me, it is definitely worth it. Going abroad is one of the best experiences of my life, which is not unique to me or my city. Every loves going abroad and it is simply an amazing one of kind experience.
